Originally, this was the front parlor or "gentlemen's retiring parlor". Although the decor is strongly masculine, its warmth and comfort attracts the ladies as well. The massive library wall, constructed in honey oak and featuring antique stained glass bookcase doors, is of neo-classic design. The ceiling is covered in authentic gold Lincrusta, a Victorian embossed paper, which mimics the look of tooled leather.
